Hi, I'm Colleen.
Trauma specialist. Pasadena-based therapist. Firm believer that the most stuck places in us can change.

16 years in practice
I became a therapist because I believe that the most stuck places in us can change.
Not with willpower. Not by talking around it endlessly. But by actually looking at what's underneath — and building the skills to move through it.
For 16 years, I've worked with adults who are carrying more than they should have to carry. Trauma that lives in the body long after the event. Anxiety that makes it hard to trust yourself. OCD that runs circles in your mind no matter how hard you try to stop it. Thoughts about self-harm that feel impossible to say out loud.
These aren't reasons to feel ashamed. They're reasons to reach out.
My approach is collaborative and direct. I'll meet you exactly where you are — and I won't leave you there. Sessions are organized and goal-oriented. You'll walk away with something tangible, not just talked at. I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches and tailor everything to what you actually need.
Outside the therapy room, I'm a mom — which has given me a firsthand understanding of what it means to hold a lot at once and still need somewhere to put it down. I'm proudly LGBTQ+ allied and committed to creating an inclusive, culturally sensitive space for clients from all backgrounds and communities.
My Approach
I work from the deep conviction that behaviors and symptoms that look like problems are almost always adaptations — ways the mind and body learned to cope with something that was too much to process. That reframe changes everything. It means we can work with these parts of you rather than against them.
I'm trained in and regularly use Trauma-Informed Care, EMDR, CBT, DBT, ACT, ERP, and approaches rooted in Polyvagal Theory and Attachment. I don't pick one lane and stay in it — I use what works for you.
